Football News

The Div 1 team travelled to Drumlane on Sunday and the locals were impressed with the fine pitch. The game was played in very blustery conditions and a good second half gave the locals a 4 pt victory on a score of Drumlane 0-7 to Mullahoran 0-11. In the junior game which followed the final result was again in favour of the locals 0-5 to 2-9.

Atmosphere

While the u21 county team didn’t fare too well in the final the build-up last week brought a feel-good factor as flags, banners and good luck signs appeared all over the area wishing the lads the best of luck and supporters eagerly looking forward to the long awaited day out in Croke Park. However, the rare chance to see a top class hurling final made up somehow for the earlier defeat.
