Congratulations to our U12 Boys Outdoor Soccer team who beat Drumlish in the Community Games County Final. This game took place on Tuesday, the 19th of April in Abbeycartron. Well done to team members Ronan Moffett, Niall Finneran, Shane Morrissey, Corey Leonard, Liam Harte, Padraig Walsh, Dean Fitzmaurice, Eamon Keogh, Shane McManus, Enda Bracken, Reece Reid Leonard, Paul Brady, David Heffernan, Emmet Igoe, James Kennedy and Evan Farrelly on a strong win and good luck in your Leinster games. A benefit night in aid of the late Aodh Brady RIP will be held in the Stags head pub Ballinalee Co Longford on Saturday 21 May 2011 from 9pm. The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association wish to thank the people of Killoe parish for their generous donations at the recent church gate collection amounting to 645 euro. This association is a small organisation who rely heavily on fundraising and donations. Your generous contributions allow us to continue providing vital services to the motor neurone disease community with financial assistance towards home help specialised equipment on loan and home visits by an MND nurse specialist. Certification in the use of defibrillator is now complete. One defibrillator is in place outside the Community Centre and thanks to the contributions of local people it now planned to purchase two more and place them within area.
