Killoe March 4


Killoe Community Games Art and Model Making Competition took place in Ennybegs Community Centre on Sunday last. Many thanks to Patricia Feeney who organised this event and well done to all the boys and girls in the parish who took part. There was a great turnout for this event with a very high standard of artwork. We will print results shortly. Good luck to all the young people of the parish who take part in their first rounds of Leinster games shortly – U10, U12 and U14 Draughts and U15 Indoor Soccer. The first County rounds of Basketball start over the coming week and we wish all Killoe participants the best of luck.


An ecumenical prayer service to launch the Cullyfad Defibrillator project will be held in Cullyfad Commuity Centre on Friday 4 March 2011 at 8pm. Everyone is welcome to come and support this launch. Refreshments will be served.


Talks on St Mathew’s Gospel will be held in St Mels pastoral Centre St Mels College Longford on Monday 7 March at 8pm. Speakers Sr Anna Burke and Fr Aidan Ryan. Everyone is welcome to attend.


A new group of set dancing will commence on Thursday night 3 March 2011 at 8.30pm to 10.30pm in Ennybegs Community Centre Killoe. This is the last call for any new dancers. All ages of both genders are very welcome.


Cilloe Yew Tree Players will stage their comedy farce from Thursday 24 March 2011 to Monday 28 March 2011 inclusive, enitled ”Lost on Delivery” in Ennybegs Community Centre Killoe. This years production is sure to have audiences in raptures of laughter. A special booking line for all tickets on Thursday 24 Saturday 26 Sunday 27 Monday 28 March will be open on Saturday 5 March. A variety concert will take place in the Thomas Ashe Hall in Ballinalee on Saturday March 5 presented by the Youth and Culture Activities Group. Raffle on the night. All are welcome. Great night guaranteed.
