The Play is set in Tankardstown House in Co. Meath in the late 1940’s. The old house is converted into a Hotel when rations were in place. It was set in a time when the Irish/English relationship was hostile, and the English looked upon the Irish as uneducated and ignorant to the ways of the world. The cast of 12 move the plot along with farcical antics, and a combination of old world yuppies and English journalists, and drunks all engage in dodgy dealing, convincing plans spiced up with a little “Love” and culminating a love story that even the hardest heart in the audience will leave with a quiet grin. This play is filled with laughs delivered by an experience cast of natural actors and a director who is passionate about drama and delivering entertainment to audiences.
