All roads lead to Ballinamuck on Sunday next March 6th for a Monster Bingo afternoon at 3.00pm in the afternoon in ‘98 Hall Ballinamuck in aid of St. Vincent’s Minor Club. €3,500 in prizes. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
St. Helen’s Ladies GFC would like to thank everyone who supported their Ladies Night on Friday last in O’Reilly’s bar. To everyone who exhibited on the night, the boutiques who provided clothing and the lovely ladies who modelled; Edel and all the staff at Paul Byron’s for supplying shoes for our models. Drumlish/Ballinamuck Community Games Sports day will take place in April. Young athletes are encouraged to start practising now. Longford Athletic club run programmes “Little athletics” and “Juvenile Athletics Training” for children wishing lo learn the fundamentals of athletics and this provides a great basis for the Community games athletic events.
This time 9 bags of rubbish were filled and an enormous cache of empty and half empty wine, vodka and whiskey bottles was uncovered, maybe those drinkers could deposit their empties in the bottle bank just a few metres away. Once again a big thanks to all who turned out, The group consensus was to meet again next Saturday- 5th March at 10.30, opposite the Post Office and the focus will be on the Longford Road.

Congratulations and Best Wishes to Aiden & Siobhán Conlon Breanrisk and Delvin on the recent birth of a baby boy at the General Hospital Mullingar. The baby will be named Evan Joseph and is a welcome brother for Helen, Seán, and Ciara, and welcome grandchild for Una and John.

The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place for 2011 from May 27th to June 1st this year. Anyone interested in travelling with the group please contact Joe Walsh Tours.
Defibrillator Training will take plaace on Monday next March 7th at 6.30pm in Monaduff Club House. We ask all community groups and parishioners to avail of this training to help promote this initiative throughout the Parish. As a number of defibrillators will be installed very shortly throughout the community it is vitally important that members of the community are trained in the use of same and have the competency to use these medical devices. All interested contact Siobhán on 086 2664781.
For all those who have completed certified training, a course will take place in the coming weks with the presentation of certificates.
