Operation transformation - as part of the recently launched fundraising initiative - Colmcill GAA club have organised a walk which will start at Smear stores on Sunday next 6th March at 8.30am. Every Tuesday night until further notice the lights will be switched on in Fr McGee Park from 7.45pm to 9.30pm to facilitate people who would like to use the park for a safe walk.
The club is asking anyone using this facility to pay 2 euro towards running the lights. Step aerobics continues on Thursday nights in Colmcille Community Centre at 9pm. During the May bank holiday there will be a 13K walk organised by the club in conjunction with St Christophers Services. Club membership is now due. The fee for the year is 30 euro and can be paid to any member of the executive.

Dring Open Air
This festival is the longest running successful event of its kind in the country. Sponsored by the Colmcille Mentally handicapped association it has been one of the main contributors to St Christophers services since its foundation many decades ago. This years festival will be held on Sunday 5th June.

Blood donors urgently required. The Irish Blood transfusion service have issued a special appeal to all those who donate blood at the Loch Gowna clinic to hit the all time target set of may 2007 when 259 donated over the two days. With the Easter bank holiday period approaching and as traditionally holiday periods present a challenge for maintaining the blood supply they ask donors to make a special effort to visit the clinic on any of the two days Wednesday 30th or Thursday 31st March from 5.30pm to 8.30pm (please note revised clinic opening times).
Diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes
