Open Evening

Open Evening and Enrolment - Ardscoil Phadraig, Granard. Parents of sixth class students are invited to attend our Open evening on Thursday 15th October 2015 from 7-9pm. Pupils and parents can view the excellent school facilities, meet students and staff and see the achievements, work and the success of our students first hand. Parents/guardians are invited to enrol their children in the school on the night

Painting Course

Benefit Dance

A Benefit Dance for the family of the late Sean Mulligan, Ballinamuck will take place in the Breffni Arms Hotel, Arva on Monday 16th November 2015. Music on the night by Night Fever, Mick Flavin, Noel Cassidy, Jimmy Hussey, Busy Fingers Tickets cost €10 each - the committee will be out selling tickets over the next few weeks and your support will be very much appreciated. Tickets will also be on sale in Aughnacliffe Post Office

Computer Course

Community Education Services co funded by Longford Westmeath Education Training Board will be running a basic computer training course in Colmcille Community Centre and will commence shortly cost per night is €5 limited availability please contact Christine on 087-6450530 to book your place

Joker Game

This weekend Paul Mulligan Crott had a chance to win the jackpot but Paul failed to find the joker and had to settle for the €50 consolation prize. Up next week its Andy McKeon with the jackpot at €788

October Mudfest

Sean Connolly’s GAA Club in Ballinalee are running a mud fest to raise funds for the club. The race is a 6km run across country and will include obstacles along the way. There is a prize for the fastest men’s and women’s team of €1000 each and a prize of €500 for the fastest individual male and individual female. It will take place on Saturday 31st October. Entry is €25 per person or €200 for a team of ten. Check out facebook and for updates and details. Please spread the word

GAA News

Congratulations to the Colmcille U10 team who won the Trautt Cup in Ardagh on Sunday morning last. It’s a great achievement for the team and management having also won the Ballinagh Tournament during the summer. Very well done to all concerned. Also well done to the U-21 team who had a great win in the first round of the championship v Slashers on Friday night.
