Parent and child group
We continue to meet every Wednesday at 9.30am to 12.30pm in Sticky Fingers childcare. Come and let the little ones play and interact with their peers. It is an opportunity to introduce them to the idea of socialising and meeting friends, bridging the gap between leaving and starting playschool – school. Drinks and snacks are provided for the little ones. A friendly easy going group of parents who are always ready to help each other out. Come see for yourself , we welcome and encourage new faces, the more the merrier, with no age limits. Please contact Breige at 0833188391 or Sharon at 085 7060233 for further information.

The new direction sign down at the river looks very good. It’s a very colourful sign eye catching and meaningful. It should be a big help towards improving visitor numbers to Corlea Centre. Congratulations to all concerned with its design and placement. Also, the new milestone looking towards the island road is a nice attraction and a welcome addition to the street furniture of the village. Meanwhile the village clean up continues every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm. As the judging of the tidy towns is not too far away it is important that as many as possible turn up for this weekly effort.
Best wishes to our two local players Rory Connor and Shane Doyle who will be on the county panel for this very important game against Dublin in Croke Park next Sunday. It is a big undertaking but anything is possible.
Good luck and best wishes to all the students from Kenagh and surrounding areas who will sit their Leaving cert and Junior cert exams over the next few weeks. No doubt it is a major hurdle to jump so we wish them all the best and an easy passage through this important phase of their lives.
The 10K run organised by Kenagh GAA Club was their most successful so far, almost 200 runners of all ages and sizes, both men and women, boys and girls took part in very suitable weather conditions. As there was a lot of work involved in organising this event we congratulate and thank all involved such as the people who marked and signposted the route , the starters, the follow up team and all who prepared and gave out the refreshments. Well done to everyone especially all the participants in the run.
