GOAL mile

The 11th annual Leitrim GOAL mile took place on New Year’s Day at the Bornacoola GAA club grounds in Dromod. The weather was not very favourable to walking but thanks to all who turned out on the day up to now the Leitrim GOAL mile has raised in excess of €100,000. We will give you a full report in coming weeks. Your support was greatly appreciated.

Engaged

We extend our congratulations to Leonie Duffy, Bornacoola and Noel McEnroe better known as “Gooch” who hails from Oldcastle who announced their engagement on Christmas day. We wish you health and happiness for the future.

Sympathy

We extend our condolences to Jim and Ella Gannon, Drumsna on the death of Jim’s brother, Eamon Gannon, Sligo Road, Ballymote, Co. Sligo also to Neil and Marie Comiskey, Cloonturk. Eamon passed away on New Year’s Eve at the Abbey Haven Nursing Home, Boyle and was laid to rest in Ballymote cemetery on Friday last. May he rest in Peace.

Wedding Bells

Mohill Badminton resuming tonight Wednesday, January 7th in Mohill sports complex starting at 8pm. Newcomers are always welcome.

Sympathy

We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the late Sean Reynolds, Station Road, Mohill and formerly from Cloone who passed away on New Years eve. Sean was laid to rest in Cloone cemetery on Saturday last. May he rest in Peace.

Progressive 25 commencing on Thursday night, January 15th in Fenagh Community Centre at 8.00pm for 10 weeks. €500 Jackpot with nightly prizes. Admission €8 with refreshments served. Proceeds in aid of Fenagh Handball Alley Construction Fund.

Progressive 25 in Kilglass

An e-mail in from Charlie Reynolds and it reads as follows; Progressive 25 continues in Kilglass GAA centre on Tuesday nights at 8.30pm. We are starting our winter/spring league on Tuesday, January 13th and continuing until Tuesday, April 28th. Winners of our recently completed winter league - 1st Edmund Brennan 47 games, 2nd Pat Ganley 46, 3rd Willie Lyttle 45 games. Any new players interested in playing most welcome.

The Calendar is a record of club activities during 2014 and also marks a number of club member’s birthdays.
