The Connell’s of Inchbofin

In this year’s ‘Fireside Tales’, there is avery interesting article on the Connell family, who lived on Inchbofin Island. For a living they farmed the 60 acres with their own horse and mowing machine. Eel fishing was another source of Income. John Connell still lives there. Another interesting piece is the Donlon family of Aughaloughan. Generation after generation, they have produced talented musicians. A lovely photograph in the book is dancing on the road beside Donlon’s house in 1910. Fireside Tales is available in local shops.
