The exhibition of memorabilia from the Official Opening of Pairc Carraig Álainn and around that era is on display in Carrigallen Library until Monday, 3 November 2014. The opening took place on Easter Sunday, 22 April 1984 and was performed by former Leitrim and Connacht football star Packie McGarty and the Blessing was by His Lordship, the Bishop of Kilmore, Most Rev. Dr. Francis McKiernan. All are welcome to view this exhibition.

Carrigallen NS Parent’s Association are hosting a Halloween Party on Friday, 31 October in the Community Hall from 6:00 to 8:00pm. All are welcome to join is for some spooky fun and games. Admission is €5 per child with concessions available for families. Fancy dress is optional.

G.F.C. Lotto Results The draw was held on Saturday, 25 October 2014 and the numbers drawn on the night were 2, 5, 23, and 29. There was no Jackpot winner and the four winners of €50 each were, James Reynolds (14 Club), Peter Johnston, Aaron McManus, and Liam O’Rourke. Next week’s draw will be held in Kilbrackan Arms Hotel on 1 November 2014 when the Jackpot will be €2,500. Those in charge of the draw will be Teresa Donohoe, Conor O’Neill and Barry Dolan.

Rita Duffy Lecture
In conjunction with internationally and sometimes controversial artist Rita Duffy`s interesting exhibition at Solas Gallery from Thursday, 30 October to Tuesday, 4 November, Ballinamore library will be hosting a lecture “Remember Who You Are” – a visual exploration of the artists works over the last thirty years. It will conclude with questions and answers on Tuesday 4 November from 7:30pm to 9pm. It would be advisable to arrive a bit early.
Mass for the deceased members and staff of Leitrim County Council will be held on Monday, 3 November 2014 in St Mary’s Church, Carrick-on-Shannon at 8:00 pm. Refreshments will be provided for all in the Bush Hotel afterwards.
The Mohill Family Support Centre’s Outreach Service will be available in Carrigallen’s Primary Care Centre every Tuesday from 10:00am to 12:30pm.
