Mass for Senior Citizens
The annual mass for the Ballinamore area Senior Citizen will take place on Wednesday 29th October in Trathnona Community Centre at 7.30pm. Music and refreshments will follow. Everybody welcome.
Rita Duffy Lecture
In conjunction with internationally and sometimes controversial artist, Rita Duffy`s interesting exhibition at Solas Gallery (Thurs 30 Oct-4th Nov), Ballinamore library will be hosting a lecture “Remember Who You Are” – a visual exploration of the artists works over the last 30 years. It will conclude with questions and answers. Tuesday, November 4th, 7.30 – 9pm. It might be advisable to arrive a bit early.
A boxty and bacon night
A Boxty and Bacon night will be held in Templeport Resource Centre on Tuesday, 4th November. Boxty will be served from 9 till 10pm. Dancing from 10pm with music by Country Cousins. Proceeds in aid of Day Centre. Please support.
Fr Gerry Kearns
Fr Gerry Kearns, Chaplain to Cavan General Hospital, will give a talk entitled “Death and Dying” in the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Cullies, Cavan at 7:30p.m. on Tuesday 4 November next. This will be the first in a series of lectures during the month of November on the theme of ‘Bereavement and Loss’. All welcome. Suggested Donation: €5.
Church of Ireland
Church Street, Ballinamore, Sunday Service is at 12.15pm every Sunday except on the 4th Sunday which is held in Drumreilly Church, Drumreilly.

Ballinamore annual car wash takes place on Saturday, 15th November at the Square, Ballinamore, this year’s charity is the Jack and Jill Foundation, which helps provide nursing hours within the home environment for very sick children aged 0-4 yrs. Very worthwhile cause, all donations welcome.
Waterways Ireland are pleased to announce they have completed the majority of their works adjacent to Lock 6 Ballinamore on the golf links road and the walkway and cycling route has now been reopened to the public. Waterways Ireland would like to thank our customers for their co-operation with this matter during the construction phase.
The monthly meeting of Ballinamore women’s group is on Wednesday, November 5th at 8pm. The outing to Belfast is on Saturday, November 8th. The bus will leave the square at 9am. Cost of the trip is 45 euro which must be paid to any member before Oct 31st. Enquirers to 0876327959.

Month of the Holy Souls
In November, we remember and pray for the faithfully departed in a special way. In our churches a number of masses will be offered for the deceased members of our families. It would be appreciated if you would bring in the list of those you wish to be prayed for next week end. Please use the appropriate envelope found in your white box of envelopes. (Dues Box).
Blessing of graves
Blessing of Priests graves at the rear of the church & sisters graves in the convent cemetery will now take place after 11.30am mass on Sunday, 2nd November.
Scrabble for fun
Would you like to play or learn to play scrabble? If you would like to join others to play, meet in Ballinamore Library each Wednesday from 11am to 12 noon. Bring a Scrabble set if you have one or just come along and join in. You’ll be very welcome! Contact Liz at 0870565215.

Due to school midterm break, training next Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7p.m. will be for those competing in the Connacht Cross Country Championships only. Training for all will resume on Tuesday, November 4th at the new winter time of 6pm. New members welcome.
Scor na nOg
The first rounds of scór na nóg 2014 will take place on November 22nd and 23rd. The county final will take place in Manorhamilton on December 7th.
