The month’s memory Mass for the bereaved soul of Rosemarie Bouvin, (nee Farrelly), Cairn Hill View, Drumlish, (formerly Bawn, Killoe) will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church, Ennybegs, Killoe on Thursday, 28 August at 7.30pm followed by burial of Rosemarie and her late husband Christer’s ashes in the family plot at Aughaboy cemetery, Killoe. May they rest in peace.

A meeting of councillors and the public will be held in the Park House Hotel, Edgeworthstown to discuss the many public concerns on Wednesday, 20 August 2014 at 9pm. Everyone is very welcome to attend.

Sincere sympathy is extended to Peggy King, King’s shop, Ballinalee, extended families, friends on the sad bereavement of Peggy’s brother, Jim (predeceased by his brother, Noel) who was laid to rest last week. Requiem Mass was celebrated in St Emer’s Church, Ballinalee with burial in local cemetery. May he rest peacefully.


Congratulations to Jame’s Leonard, son of Joe and Frances, Esker, Killoe who exchanged wedding vows with Jane Reid, daughter of Alec and Patricia, (nee Lennon, formerly Clontumpher, Killoe), Birmingham, UK joined by family and friends in Castle Dargan Church, Sligo. Afterwards a reception of fine food, craic agus ceol with resounding speech by Mervin Leonard was immensely enjoyed in the Castle Dargan Hotel, Sligo. The parish extend good wishes to James, Jane and their families for a future filled with great health and oodles of happiness.

Celtic soccer club

Killoe Celtic soccer club AGM on Thursday, 28 August in Cullyfad Community Centre at 9pm. We expect a large turnout and new members are very welcome to help in the organising of the club for the coming year.
