Wedding Bells

Congratulations to Niall Berry, Enaghan, Aughnacliffe and Jennifer Quinn, Greagh, Drumlish who were married on Thursday, 31st July in St Mary’s Church, Drumlish. To celebrate the occasion, a very enjoyable reception was held at Crover House Hotel, Mountnugent. We wish the happy couple a long life of good health and happiness in their married life together.

Fishing results

Results of fishing competition held on Gartylough Lake, Arva on Monday, 4th August. 1st David Roche, Aughnacliffe; 2nd Gregg Carr, Longford; 3rd Kerrie Lee, Dring; 4th Jason Carr, Longford. 11 boats participated.

Baby girl

Diocesan pilgrimage to Knock

Bishoip Francis Duffy will lead the annual diocesan pilgrimage to Knock on Sunday, 7th September. Bus departs from Gowna at 9.45am Mullinalaghta 10pm and Granard at 10.15am. Anyone wishing to travel, tickets are available from Mai Tierney, Corfree Road, Loch Gowna. Contact number 66 83366 at 16 euro per ticket.

25 Card Game

25 card game in St Brigid’s Community Centre every Tuesday night at 8pm. New players very welcome.

First National and Global Calling cards

This card will allow you to talk to family or friends in USA, Canada, Australia, UK or anywhere in the EU for as little as 2 euro per two hours. They are available in denominations of 5 euro, 10 euro and 20 euro and can be purchased at the Post office in Gowna.
