Andrea Donohoe will run a half Marathon (13.1miles) on Good Friday, 18 April in aid of LauraLynn Children’s Hospice. Tea/Coffee morning will be held in the Kilbrackan Arms Hotel in Carrigallen on Friday 4 April 2014 from 10:00am onwards, morning - afternoon. All donations of any size will be greatly appreciated for this worthy cause. Tea, coffee, buns and cakes will be served on the morning. Free raffle, Please support. This is a fun sporting event taking place on Easter Sunday 20 April. It is a 7k run, a 1k kayak and 27k cycle. You can take it very seriously or do it for fun. You can also do it in a relay. The draw was held on Saturday, 29 March and the numbers drawn on the night were 10, 24, 25, and 28. There was no Jackpot winner and the four winners of €50 each were - Darren McGovern, Mary Hunt, Sean McGovern and Evelyn Smyth. Next week’s Jackpot will be €11,000.

“Little Rascals” Cloone/Aughavas Community Childcare are holding a cookery demonstration and food fare in Cloone Community Centre on Friday, 11 April. The Food fare will start from 7pm and demo from 8pm. Our demonstrator is Marie Dufficy who co-presents demonstrations with Celebrity Chef, Neven Maguire. We will have many local food exhibitors, Dromod Boxty, Cannaboe Cakes, The Nature Trail, Supervalu, Roscommon Chocolate Company, Cheeses etc, Donegal Rapeseed Oil, Jinny’s Bakery, Mitchell Meats, Dial A Chef, Maria McAvennia Tupperware, Brennan Butchers Supplies with tasting and many spot prizes on the night. Tickets are €10 available from the playschool and many local outlets. Your support would be greatly appreciated on the night.
