A note to hand from Noel Mahon organizer of the annual GOAL mile and it reads as follows; Leitrim’s 10th annual GOAL mile held at the Bornacoola gaa club grounds in Dromod on New Year’s Day was another runaway success. A sincere thank you to one and all who participated, sponsored or helped organize the popular annual event. Later in the Copper Still bar Tommy, Jody and T.P. worked like trojan in conducting a most entertaining and fruitful auction.
