Week of prayer for Christian Unity. Ecumenical service and exchange of spiritual gifts in Holy Trinity church, Ballinalee on Wednesday, 22nd at 8pm, followed by fellowship in the Thomas Ashe Hall. All welcome.
Singing classes will resume in the Mostrim on Monday, 3rd February from 7pm until 8pm. New members are always welcome.
Kids Fitness Classes
Liam Keenan Fitness classes for kids every Saturday at 11.00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Community Centre, Edgeworthstown. Boys and girls of all abilities aged 7-12 years. The county final of Longford Senior Scor is set to take place on the weekend of February 21st/22nd. Exact time, date and venue to be decided. So all clubs are asked to start preparing and will be notified in due course. From Coiste Scor Longfort.
Clonfin Commemoration on Sunday, February 2nd next the annual Clonfin Commemoration will take place starting with mass for all deceased members at 11-30 in St Mary’s church in Granard. At 3pm the ceremony will take place at the site in Clonfin where Bishop Colm O’Reilly will be this year’s guest speaker and following this there will refreshments in McElvaney’s of Coolarty. As this year’s ceremony takes place on the exact date that the famous battle took place (February 2nd)the committee are looking forward to a large crowd attending.
There are tickets being sold for the National Club draw – price is €10 with some great prizes including trips to Australia and the USA. There was no winner of the last Lotto draw. Numbers drawn were 2, 7, 12 and 22. Twenty-five euro winners were Mary Murphy, Rachel Cheevers, Richard Hourican and Sean Powell.

Deepest sympathy extended to Patsy Kenny and family, 7 Marian Avenue, Edgeworthstown on the death of her brother, Sean Duignan, Borrisaleigh, Co. Tipperary, who passed away on Wednesday, 15th January 2014.
