St Helens Junior Team will play Dunedin Connolly’s at 1.30 pm on Sunday next in Monaduff Park Drumlish. As this is a home game for the team your support is vital. So far the team have shown great tenacity, great skill, super fitness and a “never say die attitude”. We need your support for Sunday to support and encourage the girls, and with lady luck on their side they might be in an all Ireland final after next weekend – we surely hope so. The team will be represented by Bronagh Brady, Ellie Collumb, Kerrie Donnelly, Leah Donnelly, Katie Mc Kenna, Sinéad Corrigan,, Ailish Noonan, Laura Burke, Aisling O’Hara, Della McLoughlin, Mairead O’Reilly, Ciara Donnelly, Leanna Keane, Sinéad Hughes, Sarah Murphy, Catríona O’Hara, Patricia O’Hara, Orla Noonan(Captain), Emma Farley, Emma Davis, Rachel Murphy, and Louise Quinn. The team is managed by Ken Leonard, Cian Brady, Stephen Cosgrove and Joe Leonard. We wish them every success on Sunday , Already this team has brought great pride to the Parish, and we hope it continues to be so. Fine Gael Convention for the Granard/Drumlish Electoral Area held in Ballinalee
The above took place on Sunday night last in the Community Hall Ballinalee. Michael Carrigy, Ballinalee and Paraic Brady, Drumlish were elected to contest the forthcoming local elections in 2014. However Fine Gael Headquarters reserved the right to add two or more names to the ballot paper in the near future. We join their families and friends in wishing Micheál and Páraic every success in the future and await the decision of HQ in the coming weeks.

A special collection will be taken up on Sunday next 17th November to support the humanitarian work of Trócaire in Syria. This collection will be used to support humanitarian relief in Syria and to alleviate the plight of Christians in the wider Middle East.
Trócaire’s door-to-door fundraisers will be in your area for a couple of days during November/December 2013. The fundraisers are clearly identifiable as they will be wearing a blue branded Trócaire jacket. Also each fundraiser will be carrying photoID. The purpose of their visit to your area is to raise awareness of the work Trócaire does and to ask people if they would like to support Trócaire with a monthly direct debit.Trócaire works with thepoorest families and communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America helping to build better futures. We have organised indoor underage coaching for all under 8/10 for October and November in the Community Centre Drumlish. This will be a 45 minute session which will be aimed at improving skills of each player. It will finish up with a Xmas party for all kids to finish out year. Under 8 Fridays 6.30-7.15 Under 10 Fridays 7.15-8. All Welcome.
