We would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of Sean Reynolds, Bray Co Wicklow, and formerly from Clooncarne, Bornacoola who died on Friday last at the Blackrock Hospice, Dublin. Sean was laid to rest in Springfield cemetery, Killarney Road Bray on Monday last. May he rest in peace.
Last August at the annual mass held in Cloonmorris Cemetery it was announced by the Cemetery Committee that the details of the graveyard were being surveyed and would be soon available online. The survey of the graveyard has been completed and has involved the numbering and mapping of each grave. This was done using a combination of GPS and eye mapping. A digital map of the graveyard has been compiled showing the number of each grave within the map. The map and the list of names have been displayed on a sign showing the map of the graveyard and the names listed in alphabetical order, showing the surname, first name, address, month and year of death and age at time of death together with the plot number. It has been a comprehensive recording of the details relating to Cloonmorris Graveyard well worth a visit online and is available for your viewing at www.irishgraveyards.ie Congratulations to all concerned in making this resource available.
