Cystic Fibrosis: All Roads lead to the community centre Ballinagh on Friday 19th April for the Annual Fundraising Concert in aid of Cavan Cystic Fibrosis Association and featuring Eleanor Shanley and De Danann with full supporting programme. Over the years the Annual event has been one of the main highlights of the season and all indications are that this year’s show will surpass all previous performances so don’t be disappointed book you seat early at Spar Ballinagh or Multisound Cavan.

Weather: The coldest weather in ‘living memory’ is the general summing up of conditions which have prevailed over the past six weeks or more which saw bitterly cold winds blowing from a north easterly direction and which may well have contributed to among other discomforts leaving many people – old and young – confined to their homes with suspected flues and heavy colds.

Gospel Service: In Ballinagh Missions Church on Sunday April 14th at 8pm., Preacher Mr. PJ Sexton with everyone welcome.

Lessons: Guitar Lessons have resumed in the Community Centre

Pilgrimage: The Annual Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes led by Bishop Leo O’Reilly will take place from May 27th to June 1st and booking for the assisted pilgrimage section should be made by contacting Fr. Kevin Fay Pilgrimage Director on 087 8579968 or 049 43 30018. Should anyone feel that someone in their family or a neighbour would benefit by joining the pilgrimage they are asked to contact Fr. Fay with early bookings an advantage.

Leader is Being Sought: It’s on the race for a Clan Chieftain as the Committee of the Reilly/O’Reilly Clan are planning their gathering event when nominations will be sought from candidates who are willing to stand as Chieftain or Taoiseach and to lead the way in their celebrations.

Thanks: The Ballinagh/Ballintemple branch of Irish Red Cross would like to thank the community for their support at their Easter Raffle, to all that bought and sold tickets, to Eamon Gavin (Centra) for his support and use of premises. Novena: Annual Novena in honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help commences this week at Holy Trinity Abbey, Kilnacrott with rosary and mass each Tuesday evening commencing at 7.30pm and will continue every Tuesday until June 4th with everyone welcome.
