ICA: Longford Federation of ICA are hosting an information evening in the 98 Hall Ballinamuck on Thursday 25th April at 7.30pm. Varied topics from guest speakers on the night. Admission 5 euro with tea and refreshments served afterwards plus raffle on the night. Everyone is very welcome.

COMMUNITY GAMES: Our Annual Sports Day took place on Saturday last, the 13th. April in Emmet Park. The weather was very blustery with rain turning up in the afternoon. We had a good turnout of athletes and supporters. We would like to thank Emmet Og G.A.A. Club for the use of their grounds, all committee members who helped to organise this event, and help out on the day, John Browne, Brian Donoghue, Mairead Moorhead, Brian Griffin and all the volunteers who helped out on the day, Frank Kiernan who provided the Javelin and Roisin Moffett who provided refreshments. Many thanks to all the parents who supported all the children participating. It is great to see so many young athletes in the Parish. Full Results next week. The Pitch and Putt County Final took place in The Acres, Ballinalee, on Sunday last the 14th. April. Team A consisting of Oisin Bennett, Adam Fenlon, Jack O’Driscoll, Reece Reid Leonard and Bradley Thomsen took 2nd. place and are through to the National Finals. Team B consisting of Niall Farrelly, Euan Farrelly, Jonathon Borland and Conor Gilna took 3rd. place. Adam Fenlon took joint 2nd. place overall. Congratulations and well done boys on your performance and achievement. Many thanks to Mick O’Driscoll for managing and training the teams. Fine Gael AGM: The A.G.M Killoe Branch was held in the Old Forge with a large attendance present including local T.D James Bannon,Councillor’s Victor Kiernan, John Brown and Councillor John Duffy. The following officers were elected - Chairman: Colm O‘Donnell, Vice-Chairman: Alfey Thompson, Secretary: Sean Murray, P.R.O: Gerry Hagan and Treasurer: James McGoldrick. Votes of sympathy were extended on the night to those who had bereavements during the year.
