CLONFIN COMMEMORATION: The annual commemoration of the Battle of Clonfin was held on Sunday last and the committee would like to sincerely thank all who attended with a very special thanks to Mr. Martin Morris who was the guest speaker for his very inspiring, informative and indeed challenging address to the gathering. Thanks also Fr. Simon and Fr. Tom and to the minister for defense, to Commdt. Barry Keary and to the reserve members of the 54th squadron under the command of LT. Robert Packenham for the guard of Honour and to the members of the O.N.E.and to the Longford Pipe Band for their attendance. Thanks also to the McElvaney family for the use of their premises and to the great ladies who prepared and served the beautiful refreshments. The great work of all the stewards is very much appreciated by all on the committee.
NEW BABY: Congratulations to Pete and Elaine McNerney on the birth of their second baby, a boy recently. This young man is to be named Darragh and he is welcome brother for Emma Louise and grandson for Pat and Mary McNerney, Toneywarden and great grandson for Mrs.Thess McNerney, Molly and Mrs. Hourican, Dunbeggan.

SENIOR SCOr: Senior scor will be held in Ballinamuck on March 1st next and anyone willing to represent the Ballymore club should contact the club’s Scor officer, Geraldine McNerney on 0876472627 immediately so that she can organize rehearsals etc. Its most important that the club is represented in as many categories as possible and as there is plenty of talent in the area we encourage you to get involved.
ANNIVERSARY MASS: The first anniversary Mass for the late Kathleen Daly will be offered on Saturday evening next February 9th in St. Mary’s in Granard at 8-30pm and not on Saturday morning. Mass will also be offered for Kathleen on Sunday morning at 10-30 am in Shroid. May she rest in peace.
