The death has taken place of Edward Leavy of Derragh, Abbeylara, Longford. Funeral mass today in St. bernard’s Church, Abbeylara at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to the Irish Heart Foundation. House strictly private.

Brian Grant, Longford Town

The death has occurred of Brian Grant of Hawthorn View, Glack, Longford Town, Longford. Former Garda Superintendent. Beloved husband of Cassie. Sadly missed by his loving family, wife Cassie, sons John, Philip and Chris, daughters Mary (Gray), Rita (Farrell), Ann-Therese, Martina (Murphy) and Ursula (Duggan), brother, sisters, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Currently reposing at his residence. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday in St. Mary’s Church, Newtownforbes, at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. Annie O’Rourke, Kilashee

The death has occurred of Annie (Molly) O’Rourke (nee McGuire) of Ballyclare, Kilashee, Longford. Formerly of Aughavas, Co. Leitrim. Wife of the late Patrick. Peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Mullingar. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons Bertie, Frank and Gerard, daughters Breege (Groarke) and Bernadette (Sheahan), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sister, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Killashee on Monday, arriving at 7pm. Mass of the Resurrection on Tuesday at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery. House private on Monday evening from 5pm.Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Alzheimer Society c/o Glennon Funeral Directors.
