COMMUNITY GROUP: AGM Killeen Bunlahy community group held their annual general meeting recently and the following officers were elected for the coming year Chairman John Joe Reilly. Vice chairman Seamus Flynn. Secretary Maire Monahan ass. secretary Dolores Flynn. Treasurers Sean McElvaney and Mary Sherdian. Pro. Laura Connell and Ignatius Walker. An Appreciation night will be held for all stewards and locals who helped us on our vintage day in Creegan’s on Friday night 28th September with live music and refreshment on the night.. All welcome.

COWBOY KARAOKE NIGHT: On this Saturday night September 22nd next the Granard Branch of St. Christopher’s are hosting a Cowboy Karaoke Evening in McElvaney’s of Coolarty commencing at 10pm. Admission is ten euro and their will be raffle and competition for the best dressed cowboy and cowgirl with prizes of twenty five euro. Your support will be greatly appreciated and don’t forget to wear your hat.
CLONFIN MEETING: The next meeting of the Clonfin commemoration committee will be held in Lus Na Greine Granard on Wednesday evening September 26th at 8pm and all members are invited to attend. Members are asked to please note the change of date for this meeting. New members welcome.
ORDINATION: Congratulations to Naomi Quinn, daughter of John and Sylvia Quinn Longford on her ordination which took place at a beautiful ceremony in Derry on Sunday last September 8th. Naomi’s mother is the former Sylvia Ruske from Aughaboy Coolarty and many family friends and neighbours from this area attended the celebrations on Sunday. We join with the Quinn and Ruske families in wishing Rev. Naomi all God’s blessings for the future.
COFFEE DAY: As tomorrow Thursday September 20th is the annual coffee day throughout the country the opportunity to support this very worthy cause will be available in the Resource Centre in Granard from 10am til 1pm and again in McElvaney’s Coolarty from 7pm till late.
