DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: Europe’s no 1 blue grass band 4 Wheel Drive will be performing in the Pikers Lodge Hotel Loch Gowna on Wednesday 18th July. Show starts 9.30pm. Admission 10 euro. A good night of entertainment guaranteed.

OPERATION

TRANSFORMATION: A sincere thanks is extended to everyone who participated and helped in anyway to raise 11200 euro for the Irish Cancer Society. Over the past four years a total of 38400 euro has been raised by the community. This money goes towards providing care and emotional support to cancer patients and their families throughout Ireland. Your donation will help make it possible for our vital service to continue including cancer information service - offering free confidential advice, support and information. Patients care & support night nurses oncology liaison nurses and home care teams. Prevention and education provides the public with update information. Cancer research funding is vital as it has a significant impact on the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

LITTLE RASCALS: Little Rascals pre school and creche is now enrolling for September. Pre school is free of charge through the ECCE scheme. Applications can be made through Colette O’Reilly before September to avail of this scheme. For further information please contact Collette on 086 8197311.

CLINIC SUCCESS: The Irish Blood Transfusion Service wish to thank the 237 donors who attended the recently held clinic in St Brigids community Centre Loch Gowna. A breakdown of the total figures show that 18 first time donors and 15 former donors attended the clinic. Also thanks to everyone who helped to make this clinic a success.
