THOMAS ASHE HALL: The local parish Hall committee have put together plans to insulate and renovate the Thomas Ashe Hall. We are inviting quotes from contractors within the parish (with C2 certs etc) to complete the entire works from start to finish. Please contact Michael Carrigy for the tender list. All tenders to be returned by 31st July.

TIDY TOWNS: please help with keeping your village and its surrounds tidy by collecting litter strimming flower boxes etc. We have had a good record over the last few years but want to improve on it.

SENIOR CITIZENS OUTING: The bus will travel to the Cooley Penninsula via Bailieboro and Dundalk on Wed 18 July. Cost 35 euro includes bus coffee lunch and tea . If you wish to ravel please put your name on the list in the post office before Sat July 14th. Bus will leave from the bottle bank at 9pm sharp.

DOG SHOW: The Longford Dog Show will take place in Tesco car park on Sunday July 15 at 2pm. Entries will be taken on the day. All welcome. Proceeds go towards Aware.

FUNDRAISER: In aid of Breast Cancer Unit Tullamore on Saturday night next in Begleys pub Ennybegs. Music on the night by Connie Reilly. Please support.

DUCK DERBY: Ducks are on sale locally for the annual duck derby in aid of the Tidy Towns on Sunday of the August B/H weekend. Ducks cost 5 euro each.

COACHING: Coaching for all 5 – 12 year olds in Maguire park starting on Friday 20th July at 7pm. All parents and children asked to attend.

MINOR CLUB:Clonbroney Minor GAA Club meeting tonight Wednesday at 9pm in the clubhouse. All parents are asked to attend.

WEDDING BELLS: Congrats to Noel son of Carmel and Michael Lane France Road and Julie Cotter Cork. The ceremony was celebrated by Fr Peter Beglan in St Mochtas Church Dublin. Bridesmaids were Anne Roban Paul Lane and Claire Lane. Bestman was Cathal Curtain and groomsmen Alan Lane and Sean Roban. All the guests enjoyed a beatitful meal in the Station House Hotel Kilmessan and danced the night away. We wish both of them health and happiness in their new life together.
