FRANK MOYNIHAN: On this Wednesday evening 25th April in Eslin Community Centre well known Shannonside Radio chef Frank Moynihan will be giving a cookery demonstration hosted by Eslin GAA. This will be Franks last appearance locally as he retires on August 1st. Tickets for the event are 10 euro. The show starts a 8pm.

DRUMSNA DDA: The next meeting of the above named takes place on Tuesday May 8th at 8pm in Drumsna Community Centre.

DROMOD/CORK MARRIAGE: Congratulations to Nuala Hardinan Aughry House Dromod on her marriage to Sean Barrett ,Cork on Thursday week. Reception was in Lough Rynn Castle Hotel. We wish Nuala and Sean many years of happiness.

BORNACOOLA GAA: Get your team of four together for the Bors Golf classic in Carrick Golf Club on June 23rd.

ROOSKEY MASS: Mass for deceased Glanbia employees takes place in Rooskey Church on Monday 7th May at 12 noon followed by refreshments in the old school.

DEATH OF MRS MARY CARTY: The death occurred on April 19th of Mrs Mary Ann Carty Druminmore Rooskey aged 101 years at her home. Predeceased by her husband Pat daughters Mary sons in law Francis Conroy and Seamus McGlynn sadly missed by her daughter Florrie son in law Eunan grandchildren ,great grandchildren sisters Ellie Duignan New York and Julia Morgan Longford. Removal took place to Rooskey Church with burial in Kilglass Cemetery. May she rest in peace.

BORS: All Ireland champions. Congrats to the Boro on winning the all Ireland Scor Question Time in Killarney.

FUNDRAISER: Night of music song and dance in aid of parish restoration fund on Friday 4th May in Annaduff Community Centre at 9pm. Music by Brian and Mary Mostyn and friends. Tickets 7 euro with supper.

ANFTFIELD GROUP WATER SCHEME: The AGM of the above named takes place in Annaduff Community Centre on Thursday 26th April at 9pm.

BUS TO GAIETY THEATRE: Bus to see “Greener” in the Gaiety leaving Notleys “Top of the Hill” at 4.30pm on Saturday April 28th with a break for refreshments in the Spa Hotel. Tickets 30 euro plus 10 euro for bus. Show starts at 8pm.

GAA: In a low key encounter in Annaduff on Sunday Bornacoola beat Annaduff by 1-11 to 0-6. Best for the Bors were Ml Duignan, Alan Croghan and Olly Vaughan while best for Annaduff were Mark Rowley,Aaron Duignan , Niall Maxwell and Conor Reynolds.
