GAA: A resounding success for the Emmet Og Killoe GAA 42nd annual dinner dance which was held in the Longford Arms Hotel Longford last week. The excellent food fare was enjoyed by all plus the added Killoe troupe Riverdance performance followed by Enda Hayden and Gobsmacked. Former chairman in the 70s of Emmet Og Eamon Quinn Treanlawn was presented with the Hall of Fame Award. Clubman of the year award to Ollie Killian Ennybegs, Senior player of year award to Shane Dowd Glenoughill,Jnr player award to Kevin Dooner Clonee. Ladies presentation of medals for double league and senior champions in 2011 and U21 males for present championship 2011. Awards presented by Glen Ryan. Congratulations to all recipients with extended parish good wishes for 2012.

CONDOLENCE: Sincere sympathy is extended to the Quinn family Esker,Maguire family Soran,Duggan family Claregalway on the sad bereavement of their brother Frank (Fred)Quinn Esker who was laid to rest last week. Requiem mass was celebrated in St Marys Church Ennybegs Killoe with burial afterwards in Ballinalee cemetery. The parish express sympathy to his brother Peter sisters Elizabeth Maguire Rose Duggan, nephews, nieces extended families friends. May he rest in peace.

CHURCH NOTES: St Marys Ennybegs Mass Wednesday at 7.30pm (Ash Wednesday) Thursday at 10am,Friday(no Mass) wedding outside parish. Mrs Una Keogh Kilnatruhan who has been a longstanding and dedicated member of the alter Society Voluntary committee was presented with an engraved table lamp by members of St Marys alter Society last weekend. Una wishes to acknowledge with deep gratitude this presentation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been requested by Una to be offered for Fr Casey, present members of the Alter Society and all deceased members. Ash Wednesday 22 February 2012 distribution of ashes at evening masses in both Churches. Confessions on request at any time. St Olivers Cullyfad Mass Wednesday at 6.30pm.
