School golf success: The School Golf Team at Mercy Secondary School are doing very well in their Leinster Senior Golf Group Stages and are now top of the Group following their recent two games. In the first game, the lads played against St. Finnian’s, Mullingar and in game 2, they played against Kilbeggan, both games were held at Longford Golf Club. On the team are Sean Flanagan, Jack O’Connor, David Shannon and Niall Sheehy. Well done to you all. We wish the best of luck to team member, Sean Flanagan, who is going to Spain for the next 10 weeks to a Golf Academy, we hope you enjoy your stay there Sean.

Thanksgiving Service: The Church of Ireland Ardagh group of parishes will be holding a special service at Kenagh Church on Sunday next, Oct 9th to give thanks to the Almighty God for blessings at Harvest time. There will be a guest speaker at the Service and tea will be served afterwards.
