They start their Junior Championship campaign on Friday of next week August 5 against near neighbours Cornafean. This is sure to be a tough battle as Cornafean are doing very well in Division 2 of the League and Arva are only midway up the table in Division 3.

Congratulations: Congratulations to the Cavan Minor Team who played Armagh in the Ulster Final in Clones on Sunday last and won our first Minor championship since 1974, 37 years. They put in a great performance and were full value for their win holding the much vaunted Armagh scoreless for the entire second half. Arva had 3 players on the panel - Ciaran Brady, Kevin Bouchier and Jonathan Mc Cabe so there was a big Arva contingent at the game. Cavan have not been in an Ulster Minor Final since 1988 and the Joint Team Management of Dermot McCabe and Gary Donohoe from Gowna with Michael Reilly from Knockbride have done a great job with the players.
