The Hit & Miss Golf Society held their last outing in the home of Golf, Ballinamore Golf Club. A total of 19 players turned up as usual, our Captain, again worked his favours and got us good weather on the day. The winner was John Carragher, John found the front nine difficult but played great golf on the back nine to achieve a winning score of 36 points. In his prize winning speech, he thanked our Captain for having the course in such pristine condition and agreed this was the home of golf. Our next outing is on the 19th September at 10am tee off time in County Cavan Golf Club, please be in the clubhouse at 9:30am.
Harvest Thanksgiving Service will be held in St Thomas’s Church, Columbkille on Sunday, 20th September at 3pm. Worship will be led by Rev Hazel Hicks while the special guest preacher will be Rev Dr Jean Mackaral. There will be special music with the Presbyterian Church Choir. Supper will be served following the service. Everybody is welcome to attend.
The Dolmen Club reopening for the season on Tuesday, 22nd September. New members are welcome.

The joker game is now being ran by Colmcille Area Development Group and the jackpot started €250 first up last week was Geraldine Kiernan who turned the10 of spades and received €50.
