LOTTO: Draw Monday, July 11 results. €15,000 and €5,550. The numbers drawn were 8, 12, 13, 16. The numbers drawn for the second jackpot of €5, 400 were 2, 13, 17, 23. There was no winner of the jackpot. The six drawn winners are Martin Gilligan, C Cox, J Keenan, Dillion Cox, Niamh Kiernan and James Sheridan. The next draw takes place July, 25 and this draw will have two jackpots one for €15,000 and the next for €5,550. The results of that draw will be printed next week. The RCD have capped €15,000 jackpot and set up another jackpot which will increase every draw if not won. Your €2 ticket will be entered into both draws. BUNBROSNA GAA: The Streete/Bunbrosna team that had a great win against Multyfarnham in a none league U13 game last Saturday in Multyfarnham. The game was won thanks to 2 goals that came in the last few minutes before the whistle blew which ended 4-5 to 3-5. U10 game this Thursday at 7pm is a home game against Castletown Finea and Streete Park is the venue. U12 Game this Wednesday at 7pm is also a home game against St Mary’s Rochfortbridge and Streete Park is the venue. 5K ROAD RACE: Rathowen’s annual 5k road race will be held the Friday night of Rathowen Festival at 8pm in conjunction with Mullingar Harriers.
FESTIVAL WEEKEND: Rathowen Village is holding its annual three day festival on the weekend of the 5, 6, and 7 August. Friday Evening will be the 5K road race in conjunction with Mullingar Harriers at 8pm. This will be followed by live music and BBQ in Connaughton’s Village Inn. On Saturday a farmers market takes place from 2pm in Feerick’s car park. Contact Vinny Maguire on (087) 2603364 for any interested exhibitors. There will also be a kids disco in Rathowen’s community centre from 4-6pm. Live music by Night Owl in Feerick’s Hotel from 10pm to late along with pig roasting and BBQ, Admission is €10. Sunday will be the climax of the weekend and the family field day is commencing at 2pm. Attractions include TrialStar and the very best of motorcycle arena trials specialists performing amazing feats of bravery. The riders are amazingly skilled entertainers who thrive on giving a fantastic show for all to see in total safety. Appealing to all ages, young and old, with everyone appreciating the amazing ability and showmanship involved. Performing their incredible skills over the day will be five ime Irish motorcycle trials champion plus twice Irish world team champion Andrew Perry and undisputed Irish bicycle trials king 2009 British champion, Aaron Cosbey. During the day the team will perform a number of displays, giving the public a chance to see this highly skilled extreme two wheeled sport which is unique in the fact it is non-speed based. The emphasis is to control the bikes on the obstacles riding onto eight steps stopping then jumping back down to earth, with and without an engine! All the action will be commented by Trialstar’s David Rogers. There will also be kids sport events and bouncing castles and a donkey derby.
