COMMUNITY GROUP: A meeting takes place tonight at 7pm in Currycahill CC to consider the development of a local area plan for the whole parish going forward. This will be facilitated by Keystone Consultants. All individual and reps of the various organisations in the community are invited. The AGM of the group will take place immediately afterwards. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

BBQ: Our annual duck derby in aid of tidy towns funds takes place this Sunday evening at 5pm with a BBQ at Farrells Lounge following at 6pm music in the bar afterwards with Chuck and June. Good food and music and bouncing castle for the kids. All funds go towards maintaining the two schemes in the parish than look after the cemeteries church grounds, GAA Grounds and the village in general. Ducks on sale in local shops and pubs.
TABLE QUIZ: A table quiz in aid of the Irish Red Cross, Longford Branch is to take place at the Stag’s Head on Friday August 5 at 9pm. A table of four €40, raffle on the night. Contact Therese on 087 9726045.
