The GAA draw for January and February took place in the community centre on Friday night last. The two winners of the €1000 each was Aine Canning, Drumgowna & Sean Quinn, Forosa.

The January winners are as follows: 1st prize €150 Matt & Mary Duffy, Fearglass; 2nd prize €100 Patrick Heslin, Keeldra; 3 prizes of €50 each: James Dorrigan, Tooman; Doc Healy, Cornageeha and Declan Gaffney Breanross North. The February winners are as follows: 1st prize €150 Rosaleen Sorohan, Breanross; 2nd prize €100 James Kiernan, Tooman; 3 prizes of €50 each: Deirdre Davis, Fearglass; Conor & Mel Reynolds, Gortletteragh; Aiden Quinn & Rachel Dorrigan, Killoe. The club would like to thank everyone who supported the draw and also the ticket sellers.

SELF HELP

The annual church gate collection for Self Help Africa will be taken up at all churches in the parish this weekend.

DIABETES

The Leitrim branch of the Diabetes Federation of Ireland invites you to a Public Education meeting and AGM in the Bush Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon on Wednesday 9th March at 8pm followed by AGM at approximately 9pm. Speaker on the night will be Dr Maeve Durkin, Consultant Physician in Medicine, Diabetes Endocrinology and metabolism. Topic: “Getting the most of your Diabetes Clinic appointment” followed by a question and answer session.

There will be a range of stands to visit featuring diabetes related products.

CHURCH GATE

The Irish Pilgrimage Trust collection which was taken up at Gortletteragh church on Sunday last amounted to €160.78. The collectors wish to thank everyone who contributed. The trust does great work in providing respite care for young people with special needs in Ireland and Lourdes.

An invite is extended to the whole community to join in a coffee morning and grand opening of the recently refurbished old school on Sunday, March 20 following 11am Mass. Raffle on the day and all dontations grately appreciated. Looking forward to seeing you all there.
