All members are asked to attend. New members are always welcome. The Committee wish to extend hearty congratulations to Legan man Mr. James Bannon T.D. on his re-election to Dail Eireann. It is with deep sadness that we learned of the peaceful death of Mrs Mary Kenny on Thursday last 3rd March 2011 at Our Lady’s Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown. Mrs Kenny, who lived all of her married life in Slyhaun House was a native of Drumraney, Co Westmeath and was a well known and socialable member of the community with a great devotion to her faith. Mary was pre-deceased by her husband Michael and by her brother Fr Donohue who regularly celebrated Mass in Legan over the years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and particularly by her children John, Nuala, Catriona, Michael and Angela, grandchildren, brother James, sisters Kathleen and Biddy, sons and daughters in law, nieces, nephews, fellow patients at the Manor Nursing Home and friends, to whom we extend our deepest sympathy. Mary was laid to rest on Sunday 6th March 2011 in the local cemetery following Requiem Mass. May she Rest in Peace.
We also extend our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Mrs Kathleen Hughes, Ardagh who died recently. Kathleen was laid to rest last weekend. May she Rest in Peace.
