RACE NIGHT

St Brigids GAA are holding their annual race night in the Richmond Inn, Clondra on Wednesday 16th March commencing at 9pm. Please come along and enjoy a great night’s entertainment.

LEINSTER FINALS

Well done to Dylan Farrell Emer Tyrell Aoife Kavanagh and Clodagh Kiely who represented Cloontagh National School in the Leinster finals of the Credit Union table quiz which took place in Moate last weekend. The team came a very respectable fifth place in the U11 section. Congratulations to all involved.

FEIS WINNERS

Well done to Chloe , Kiara and Emily Stokes Ann Marie Murphy Caitlin Kelly and Teresa Bohan all pupils in Killashee national School who won trophies and medals at the Feis in Kenagh recently. All the children are members of the Maureen Farrell School of dancing.

DRAMA

Newtowncashel Drama Groups production of “Canaries” by Bernard J Farrell will be staged again in the Hill on Friday 11th march due to popular demand. Doors open at 8pm.Curtain 8.30pm sharp. Admission is strictly by ticket only. Adults 10 euro. Primary school children 5 euro. Tickets available from Kevin Casey at 086 8436651.The play contains adult humour which may not be suitable for children.

SYMPATHY

Deepest sympathy is extended to Veronica and Justin Gouldsbury and family on the recent death of Veronica’s mother Gretta Brennan. May her soul rest in peace.

LOTTO

The local lotto draw will be held on Sunday 13th march in Magans bar Killashee for a jackpot of 13620 euro. Team on duty is Damien Edgeworth Alec McCloughery, Ger Evans and Derek Steele. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

ART COMPETITION

The county finals of the art competition will be held on Saturday next 12th March in the community hall in Kenagh at 10.30am. Please note the new venue and bring your colouring materials with you. Best of luck to all the Killashee participants.

COLLECTION

The Church gate collection for community games will be held on Sunday 20th March. Your contributions will be gratefully received.

TESCO

The Tesco tokens are once again being distributed. Killashee Community Games Committee would appreciate all the tokens they can get in order to get more equipment for the club.
