The next pre registration for Darkness into Light Longford 2015 takes place in Supervalu shopping centre on Saturday 2nd May from 11-2pm. Anyone who has already registered online can pick up their t-shirt on the day if they wish.

Well done to all of our students who travelled to County Louth last week and took part in the 3rd leg of the AMA leagues. We had a very successful day taking home a total of 13 medals. The next and final round of the leagues takes place on Saturday 30th May in Newtownforbes. Many thanks to all of the parents who travelled and helped out on the day. Tango’s, Jives, Walzes and foxtrots will be in full swing in the Hunt Hall, Castle Street, Mohill on Saturday night 2nd May 2015 as part of the ‘Percy Party’ weekend in Mohill. The specially formed ‘KillyPottle Mintrel Dance Band’ from Cavan will provide the music and the dance kicks off at 9pm sharp! Tea, Ham Sandwiches, Boxty and minerals will be provided on the night! For the second year in a row there will be an ordination in the diocese. On Sunday, June 21st Séamus O’Rourke from the parish of Colmcille will be ordained to the priesthood in St Mel’s Cathedral. We held our federation AGM on Wednesday last in The Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule, thank you to all who traveled and thank you to the management and staff of the Rustic Inn who accommodated us at very short notice. Huge congratulations to our new president Mary Carty from Legan Guild, and well done and thanks to our outgoing president May Campbell for all your hard work for the last three years. Our next meeting takes place on Tuesday May 5th at 8pm, competition is a May Arrangement, Mary and Patricia are on teas and we still have plenty of place for new members, so come and join us, if only to see what we get up to and of course the cuppa.
