Traditional Irish concert
Mullahoran Apostolic Society 46th annual traditional Irish concert in aid of the foreign missions will take place on Sunday, 1st March in Mullahoran Parochial Hall from 6- 10pm. A host of musicians, singers and dancers from local area and around the country will entertain for the evening.
The Breffni Kickers line dancing classes continue every Thursday night in the Breffni Arms Hotel Arva. Beginners at 8.30pm followed by the more advanced at 9.30pm. Everyone welcome to join.
25 card game
25 card game takes place every Tuesday night in St Brigid’s Community Centre at 8pm. New players very welcome.
Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Best of luck to all of Gowna participants who take to the stage on Saturday night, 21st February in Killeshandra at 7pm. Acts going forward are Set dancers, recitation, solo singing and ballad group. The quiz team will take part on Friday night, 27th February in the Kilmore Hotel and we also wish them every success.

Sympathy is extended to Philamena Pearson, Loch Gowna on the death of her father, Paddy Quinn, Relaghbeg, Bailieborough which occurred at Cavan General Hospital on Sunday, 8th February. Also sympathy to Paddy’s son, TP, daughter Cecilia, daughter in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members. His remains were removed from his son’s residence on Tuesday evening to St Patrick’s Church, Tierworker and following funeral mass on Wednesday, burial took place in Moybologue new cemetery. May he rest in peace.
