Death of Peter Egan

The death occurred in Mullingar hospital last week of Peter Egan, Kilcurry following a long illness. Peter was well known in the area and was a very quiet gentleman who loved the quiet of his farm and to have a friendly chat with his neighbours and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him, especially his wife Kate, daughters Margo and Catharina, sons John, JJ and Gerard to who we extend our sincere sympathies. Peters remains were removed from the family home in Kilcurry on Saturday evening last to Carrickedmond church and the burial took place to the local cemetery on Sunday following one o’clock mass.
