Drumreilly played a thirteen a side challenge on last Sunday morning against Ballinaglera. The final score was 3-11 to 2-6. The Drumreilly marksmen where James Holahan (1-4), Gerard Houston (1-0), Kieran Mitchell (0-1), Brian Fee (1-2), Nigel Maguire (0-2), Ronan McCartin (0-1) and Graeme Taylor (0-1). Final score Drumreilly 3-11 Ballinaglera 2-6. Declan Maxwell and John McKeon were members of the panel of Leitrim team which defeated Galway by 2-9 to 0-13. Declan played at corner forward. John did not take part in the action. Leitrim will meet Sligo in the Connacht final in Hyde Park before Leitrim seniors go into action against Roscommon.

Rachel Kennedy, Thomas Mitchell, Louise Mitchell, Nakita Donegan, Christina O Connell, Matthew Fee, and Declan Fee received first Holy Communion in St. Mary’s Drumlea The following received the sacrament of Confirmation in St. Mary’s, Carrigallen: Geraldine Mulligan, Sheila Donohoe, Christina Reilly, Evonne Maxwell, Claire Holahan, Belinda McGirl, Lisa Donegan, Raymond Holahan, Michael McGirl, Karl Gallogly, Pat Gannon and John McKeon. Irish dancers Rachel Kennedy and Marian Mulligan were among the medal winners at the C.R.N. Ashbourne Feis. Following an unbeaten sequence against Fenagh, Aughnasheelin, Drumeela and Glenfarne, Drumlea N.S. team defeated Aughavas by 1-18 to 2-3 in the Cumann na mBunscol three teacher Schools final at Cloone. The Drumlea lineout was Karl Gallogly, Mattie Fee, Pat Gannon, Damian Holahan, Raymond Holahan, Michael McGirl, John McKeon, Declan Maxwell, Francis Holahan, Colm Donohoe and James Holahan. Subs used: Kevin Holahan and Adrian McGirl. The death took place in Coventry of Drumshangore born Mr John Mimna. R.I.P.

Community Centre A.G.M.
All are reminded that the annual genera meeting of Drumreilly Community Centre committee will be held on Monday, May 19th. The Centre is an integral part of life in this community and all organisations are requested to be represented.

Pilgrimage to Lourdes
The Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 27th May to 1st June. Bookings for the Pilgrim Section are with McGinnity Travel, Cavan, and for the Assisted Pilgrim Section with Rev Kevin Fay, Lavey, Co. Cavan. Early booking is essential as places are limited. Tickets to support the Assisted Pilgrim Section are on sale. All support will be welcome.
