St. Columba’s G.F.C dinner dance and presentation of medals took place in The Piker’s Lodge on Saturday night last. The highlight of the night was the presentation of Leader Cup medals and Under 21 Championship medals by Paddy Reilly, the last survivor of the team that brought the Leader Cup to the parish in 1951. It was great to see Paddy and Annie looking so well. Chairman John Keegan welcomed all present. In his address he spoke of the success for the club this year. With all that was accomplished at underage level for the past few years, the future looks good. Dan McElligott also gave an up to date profile of each player with his humorous monologue. As usual Christina and her staff came up trumps serving a delicious meal. Rhythm & Sticks supplied the music. They certainly know how to entertain and get the folk take to the floor. Young and old enjoyed the occasion immensely.
