A public meeting will take place in the Old School, Roosky on Monday, 10 March at 8pm to gauge interest in the organisation of a Roosky Regetta or Carnival type festival for summer 2015. All welcome.
Little Soles Baby & Toddler Reflex
Little Soles Baby & Toddler Reflex is specially adapted reflexology for babies and toddlers. Most parents have either tried or heard of, the many benefits of reflexology. With the modern climate of parents seeking alternatives; baby reflex offers the benefits of a safe, non-invasive, drug free natural therapy.
There are only approx. 50 qualified reflexologists registered with Baby Reflex in Ireland. Laura Grace and Bernie Griffin are the founding members of Little Soles and are both registered and trained in Baby Reflex. Little Soles provides workshops for parents and guardians, in groups or individually, teaching them Baby or Toddler Reflex techniques. Scouting Ireland intend holding a public meeting in Kilglass GAA Clubhouse on Wednesday, 5th March at 8.30pm. If you are interested in your children joining a Scout group in your local area or wish to become a volunteer, please attend the meeting and return all completed forms. All are welcome. Trip to Croke Park
Roosky Active Retirement Group and Kilglass Gaels Football Club are organising a trip to Croke Park for senior members of the club and community after Easter. The trip will consist of a roof top tour of Croke Park, a complete stadium and museum tour with dinner afterwards in one of Croke Park’s Corporate boxes. Contact 086 8534100 to book a seat.
The official opening of the newly refurbished pitch at Kilglass will take place over the weekend. The schedule of events so far is as follows: Friday 18th April, underage coaching for boys and girls with county footballers followed by fun and games in the clubhouse, also monster table quiz on Friday. Ladies activities and underage disco on Saturday. League Game, Kilglass Gaels and St Barry’s and official opening by GAA President at 3pm and challenge game with Roscommon (opposition to be confirmed) and great night of entertainment all on Sunday.
Deepest sympathy is extended to Dympna Smith, Slatta on the death of her uncle, Frank Gibbons, Ballagh, Kilrooskey, whose funeral mass took place in Ballagh Church recently.

Lack Whitehall No 60241 for 1.5km Budget €36,000. Cloonmore Rd N5 (Old) for 1km, Budget €30,000. Cloonfower Ballymagrine Roosky No 1415 for 1.5 km at Accident Blackspot, Budget €60,000, also extra signage and road markings at Accident Blackspot, Budget €20,000. Knockhall Road 371 Rooskey from Drumminmore for 1km toward Knockhall Macadam surface, Budget €130,000.Erra for 2km Road 6076 through village to Bord na Mona Crossing, Budget €70,000. Cllr Crosby has also made representations to the County Council to carry out a number of other road repairs throughout his electoral area.
