UNITE FOR LIFE: On Saturday January 19 there will be a Unite for Life pro-life vigil held at 4.30pm Merrion Square Dublin. The government has publicly declared its intention to introduce abortion legislation early in 2013 and abortions will be carried out in Ireland for the first time. The government parties also intend to ignore the right of conscientious objection by imposing the whip after the debate on abortion legislation. The purpose of this vigil will have a positive clear message about safeguarding the lives of mothers and babies in pregnancy, is to send as strong a message as possible to the government before the process of legislating for abortion begins. It offers people an opportunity to make their views known publicly to our legislators on the safeguarding of the lives of mothers and babies. A bus will leave from Holy Trinity Car Park at 11.30am on Saturday January 19 and from Saint James Church Clonbroney at 12 noon. To book a seat please contact Clonbroney parish office 043 3323110 or email parishclonbroney@eircom.net by next Monday evening. Your presence is vital. The situation could not be more grave.
