Ardagh 16Km Challenge and 5Km Fun Run was a huge success: Thanks to everyone who helped in any way to make the day so successful, all help was greatly appreciated. 57 runners took up the 16Km challenge across Ardagh Mountain. Men 1st-Wayne Reid 57:36, 2nd-Richard Gorman 58:23, 3rd-Maurice Looby 59:15. Women 1st-Sinead Phelan 1:09:41, 2nd-Ciara Gibney 1:22:51, 3rd-Fiona Shannon 1:25:36. The over 110 runners and walkers took to the line for the 5Km Fun Run. Men 1st-Jason Donegan 17:56, 2nd-Padraig Corcoran 20:23, 3rd-Tom Donnelly 22:30. Women 1st-Lorna Moody 22:22, 2nd-Aisling Moody 22:25, 3rd-Julie Ledwith 23:25.
AMG Community Games: Youth Club resumes this Friday evening at 7pm in the Community Centre. Good luck to all the children who are involved in Table Tennis and Badminton competitions in the coming week. Reminding all 1st place winners from our art competition held in December that the County Art Final will be held on Saturday January 19 in Kenagh. We have entered the National Community Games Healthly Events 2013 competition so parents and children watch this space for lots of information in the coming weeks.

Irish Dancing Classes: The Maureen Farrell School of Irish Dancing will resume in Ardagh Community Centre on Tuesday 15th January following the Christmas break. Beginners welcome at 4pm or 6.30 No wigs, fake tans, make up for dancers. Children can dance for competition or enjoyment, and parents are welcome to stay at classes if they so wish. Fees €4.50 per child per class, with an overall family rate of €10 per week, with further monthly reductions for those who choose to pay by the month. Children of all ages welcome.
