Mary Clabby RIP.: Mary Clabby’s cousins and many friends in the Erra area of Clondra turned out to pay their respects. Mary passed away at Roscommon Sacred Heart Hospital recently. She had reached an advanced age and been living in the Nursing Home for a number of years. Mary was predeceased by her brothers Pat and Michael. A kind and gentle lady very devoted to her Catholic faith Mary was laid to rest in Cloontuskert Cemetry following Mass in Curraghroe Church recently.May she rest in peace.

Marathon Results: St Barry’s marathon took place on Sunday 14th.There was a good turnout for the event despite the very inclement weather. The club wishes to thank all individuals who took part in the event. Also thanks to all helped out with registration and a special thanks to our ladies who did an excellent spread of food at the Centre for all those hard working runners and walkers. Church Meeting: A Church meeting took place in Leavy’s last week to outline to parishoners of St Anne’s Church works to be carried out on the Church. Porches at the three main doors are already constructed,new doors are to be put in place,painting of the Church and new gate to be erected as you enter Church grounds. Work is progressing well at present.

Rosary at Grotto: The Rosary will be recited at the Gotto in the Village on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm for the month of October

Western Alzheimers says “Thanks”: Roscommon Branch of Western Alzheimers wish to thank you all for your generous support for their recent Church Gate Collection at St. Anne’s Church, Scramogue.The amount raised was 99.18.All such monies are used to provide services throughout Roscommon.

Sympathy Extended: We extend sympathy to Mitchell, Cox and Hanley family on the death of Frank Joe Hanley which took place in Surrey recently. May he rest in peace.

Rosary Recited: The Rosary will continue to be recited at the Grotto in Tarmonbarry for the month of October every Thursday evening at 7.30pm.

Disability Support Group: The County Roscommon Disability Support Group will hold their Annual Church Collection at Whitehall and Scramogue Church this coming weekend Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October.Your support would be so appreciated.
