ST PATRICKS CHURCH: The following are arrangements Holy week. Confessions Penitential services with the help of the priests from the local parishes as follows. Wednesday 8pm confessions will also take place after Mass on Holy Thursday and after the celebration of the passion of Good Friday which will take place at 3pm. There will be stations of the Cross outdoors at 6pm. Holy Thursdays mass of the Lords’s Supper will be at 8pm followed by adoration of the Blessed Sacrament until midnight. On holy Saturday the Easter Vigil preceded by the blessing of paschal Fire will be at 9pm. As Friday 6th April is also the First Friday,Fr Pat Murphy will call to the sick and housebound on Wednesday and Fr Sean Burke will call on Thursday at the usual times. The Divine Mercy Novena begins on Good Friday and ends on the 2nd Sunday of Easter Divine Mercy Sunday . A bus will travel from Mohill to Knock on 15th April leaving the O’Carolan monument at 10am. Places are limited. Please book your seat with Mary or Ann at Mohill Post office cost 12 euro.

SYMPATHY: Her many friends here in Mohill wish to join with me in sympathising with Mrs Theresa Mulligan Carrick Road,Mohill on the recent death of her beloved mother Ellen Henry, Strokestown whose funeral took place last week. To all who mourn Ellen at this sad time we offer our most sincere sympathy. May her dear soul rest in peace.

BAPTISM: Our warmest congratulations to Peter and Pauline Reynolds Stuck Eslin whose daughter Kayla Marie was baptised last week and we wish Kayla Marie a life filled with love and every blessing now and in the future .

WEDDING BELLS: We wish to add our congratulations to the many received by Richard Duff and Helen Burke Dublin who were married recently here in St Patricks Church with reception afterwards in Lough Rynn Castle Hotel. Wishing Richard and Helen good luck good health and much happiness now and in the future.

GAA LOTTO RESULTS: The numbers drawn on the 25 March 2012 were 6,17,23,25. There was no jackpot winner. MOHILL BRIDGE CLUB:The results of bridge played in Js hotel on the 28th March last are as follows 1st Ella Gannon Marie Walpole; 2nd Michael Mahon Teresa O’Reily; 3rd Bella Wrynn Helen Rutter; 4th Teresa Hamill Kay Dolan. Bridge continues every Wednesday night at 7.45pm. Wishing one and all a very happy Easter.

EXAM TIME: We wish all who are doing exams at this time every success. There are three lads from Mohill studying medicine in the Czech Republic Prague Richard Dolan is doing his finals,Shane Whitlow is in his 5th year and Michael Gordon is in his 3rd year. To those brilliant young students and many more like them may they reap the reward of their studies and obtain suitable work in their chosen profession.

JOHN PATRICK MONAGHAN: It was with the deepest regret I learned of the death of John Patrick Monaghan Sallyfold Cloone who died in the wonderful care of the doctors nurses and staff at St Patricks Hospital Carrick on Shannon on 14th March 2012. John Patricks dear wife Elizabeth died a few short years ago RIP. He was a very kind caring gentleman whom it was always a pleasure to meet. Mohill was his shopping town. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. But remembered for his wealth of knowledge from yesteryear. His removal took place to Foxfield Cemetery following requiem mass which was a celebration of John Paricks life and was well attended by family neighbours and friends . Our sympathies are with his nephews nieces and all who mourn him at this sad time.

CLOONE/AUGHAVAS COMMUNITY PLAYSCHOOL: Parents please note the above playschool starting in September or children who are aged two years and ten months on 1st September 2012. Places are also open under the ECCE scheme. If your child is going to school in September 2013 and born between 2nd February 2008 and 30 June 2009 they are entitled to avail of the free preschool year. Bookings are now taking place.
