Many stories in his book relates to the life And times of Lil when she was growing up in Dingins. This book is available at Loch Gowna Post Office.

COLLECTION: The Longford Friends of the children of Chernobyl will hold a collection on Saturday evening 2nd July after mass in Mullinalaghta and on Sunday 3rd July after 11am Mass in Gowna.

CEMETERY SUNDAY (GOWNA): Blessing of the graves will take place in the Corfree Road Cemetery Sunday 31st July following 11am Mass and on Sunday 7th August in the cemetery beside the Church following 11am Mass, Mullinalaghta cemetery following 7pm Mass on Saturday evening 30th July. Please tidy up all graves and take home all litter.

WEDDING BELLS: Congratulations to Padraig Sorohan Cordonaghy Arva and Breda Wynne Fermanagh who were married in St Mary’s Church Teemore Co Fermanagh on Saturday 18th June. To celebrate the occasion a very enjoyable reception was held in the Kilmore Hotel Cavan with family and friends. We wish Padraig and Breda many years of health and happiness in their married life together.

CONGRATULATIONS: Congratulations to James Comiskey the Rock Loch Gowna Co Cavan who picked up a bronze medal at the recent Blooms Ireland largest garden festival in Dublin. He claimed the third highest honour in the small garden section .
