LADIES: Well done to the Longford ladies U16 gaelic team who recently won the Leinster B Championship. Thee were three local girls on the team Emer Heaney Kilshrewley Michelle Farrell Aughagreagh and Aisling Reynolds Aughnashannagh.
GREEN FLAG: Well done to the teachers and pupils from our local national school who received their 2nd green flag from Gary Brady environmental officer with Longford County Council . We hope all enjoy their summer break.
TIDY TOWNS: Please continue to support the local tidy towns. The members are meting each Monday evening at 7.30pm on the hill. Please bring equipment with you.
SUMMER CAMP: The GAA summer camp takes place in Maguire Park July 4th -8th 10am – 2.30pm.Cost 55 euro per child with a reduction for additional children. Forms available in Carrigys. All the usual sports football hurling rounders handball.

WEDDING BELLS: The pretty wedding took place recently of Fiona daughter of Bertie and Eillen Spollen Firmount and Gene Curley in Holy Trinity Church Ballinalee. The chief celebrant was Fr Brian Brennan. Chief bidesmaids was Maureen Murphy and bridesmaids Catherine Hession and Marianna Cunningham. The bestman was David Rolston with groomsman Padraig Kearney and Karol McDonald. Flowergirls were Breannna Spollen and Chloe Spollen. Pageboys Caolain Spollen and Ryan Spollen. All the guests enjoyed a beautiful meal in the Mullingar Park hotel and danced he night away. We wish Fiona and gene health and happinesss in the years ahead.

The celebrants were Fr Seamus McKeon and Fr Brian Brennan. The chief bridesmaid was Caroline Reilly with bridesmaid Lisa Reilly and Fiona Lee. The bestman was Patk O’Neill with groomsman Thomas O’Neill and Derek Reynolds. Flowergirl was Clodagh Reilly and pageboy Gavin Shauhghnessy. Ushers were Kieran Conlon and Liam Reilly. Music in the church by Catriona Reynoldds and Rachel Masterson. All the guests enjoyed a beautiful meal in the Crover house hotel Cavan and danced the night away. We wish them both every good health and happiness in the future.
GAA: Well done to Martin Brady and Jams McKenna both from Soran who are members of the Longford senior team who had a good win over Cavan on Sat last. We wish them success when they take on Tyrone on Sat week.
