Cashel Drama Group present “Canaries”, a comedy farce by Bernard Farrell, in “The Hill” on 4th, 5th and 6th March. Rehearsals are currently in full swing.

Well done to our U 10 Draughts team who played a marathon semi-final and final in Cullyfad on Friday night last. In the semi-final they overcame a very strong Dromard team in a tie breaker. In the final against Killoe we had another tie! This time after playing late into the night Killoe emerged victorious by the narrowest of margins. The team comprised of Dominic Jeffrey, Luke Mulvihill, Cathy Kelly, Emma Casey and David Sweeney.

Southern Gaels Minor club are holding their AGM next Saturday evening 12th Feb. at 7pm in Cashel clubhouse. Anyone interested in getting involved in the coaching/ mentoring of the future footballers of Cashel and Killashee are invited along. Also minor league starts next Sun 13th (check press for details). Minor training on Fri night at 8pm.


The Junior Choir will provide the liturgical music at Sunday’s Do This In Memory Mass. A rehearsal will be held in the Church on Saturday afternoon from 5.30pm to 6.30pm. New members are always welcome.


Temperance Sunday falls on March 6th. Children from 5th Class are invited to become Young Pioneers. Pioneers who are eligible for Silver or Gold Emblems (pins) are asked to contact any member of Cashel Pioneer Council as soon as possible please. Likewise, any young people who wish to advance to the next stage of membership.

The Lourdes Sick Pilgrim Annual Collection is being taken up next weekend Saturday 12th/Sunday 13th February. The fund is used to subsidise the air fare of sick or assisted people who wish to join the Diocesan Pilgrimage. Generous support would be greatly appreciated.

The Annual Pilgrimage takes place from May 27th to June 1st and the organisers request the names of sick people who would like to join the pilgrimage. Names should be submitted as soon as possible please to Elizabeth Clyne (043) 332 5156.
