Little People out and about
As the weather improves, we would like to remind you all to slow down and take extra care on the roads as the children begin their Summer holidays. We remind all the parents that children should be wearing bicycle helmets and be supervised when on the road. Also, there are concerns about the safety of our children due to the high level of broken glass on the footpaths. We ask that everyone makes a conscience effort to ensure our footpaths are glass free for everyone’s comfort and safety.
The adjudicators are due any day now, an enormous effort has been made by many to push the village to the next level so it is important to maintain this very high standard by keeping the bit outside your door swept and litter free. We also appeal for help with watering - an hour or two in the late evening would be especially welcome, contact Dympna at 087 397 7799 for details. The annual church gate collection takes place this Saturday and Sunday - Pride of Place takes place in July so keep up the good work.
